FLAPLESS: CIRURGIA SEM RETALHO NA IMPLANTODONTIA

Um dos objetivos atuais na Implantodontia é utilizar técnicas que proporcionem o restabelecimento da função, da estética e do conforto do paciente com cirurgias minimamente invasivas. A cirurgia Flapless, apresenta algumas vantagens quando comparada à cirurgia com retalho, dentre as quais se destacam: menor trauma e menor tempo cirúrgico, melhor pós-operatório, manutenção da integridade dos tecidos peri-implantares, ausência de suturas, dentre outras. A cirurgia livre de retalho vem sendo associada com o planejamento computadorizado proporcionando grande precisão neste tipo de tratamento. Realizou-se uma revisão da literatura sobre o uso da cirurgia Flapless na Implantodontia, visando encontrar suas vantagens. De acordo com a revisão a técnica Flapless possibilita a manutenção da mucosa peri-implantar ao redor dos implantes, porém não existe diferença significativa quanto à perda óssea nas técnicas com retalho e sem retalho. Pode-se concluir que até o momento não foram encontrados estudos clínicos em longo prazo suficientes quanto à utilização da técnica Flapless, entretanto, os resultados em curto prazo sugerem sua previsibilidade.
